Done me work today

Posted by Feral Beast in , , ,

Hello.
I've done all of my work and watched some science shows today.
One of them was that Archaeology show again.
Another one was about the Great Wall of China, which has two parts to it, the second one is on as I'm writing this.

I've done my Excel work books ( now, if you're wondering, I haven't done all the other work books I told you about 'coz there were to many of them and many of them I didn't get to do before dinner), which are really cool.

I had a fight with mum and I fell into some buckets and I was stuck!
I couldn't get out and mum was laughing so much she could hardly help me out of them.

I haven't much more to tell you, so, just stay tuned, 'coz you might see some thing else on the blog that might catch your eye.

Homeschool work

Hello folks, I'm going to talk about my day.

Today I did a lot of work.
I did- Foundation Mathematics, Insight Outcomes: English, Shaping a new nation, Geography around us, Introduction to Biology, The Ancients, Dinosaurs Uncoloured, Why should I? A fun way to learn about the law, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Creative Writing, English and Mathematics, Spelling and Vocabulary Workbook, Step by step Algebra Workbook, Spelling and Vocabulary Crossword puzzles, Art attack, and Science and Technology.

It was fun doing them all.
Many of them used to belong to Feral Queen when she went to high school.

I will probably need all of this info for when I become a Paleontologist.

Will see ya tomorrow.

Autism and me

Posted by Feral Beast in , , , ,

It's me again, and I'm going to tell you one of the reasons why I'm home schooled.biggrin

It all started when I was 2years of age, when I was said to have autism and Tourette's. I didn't know how to speak, when other baby's of my age were starting to speak. Then it all welled up when I turned 5 years old at the beginning of school when I thought every one there was my friend, then when I came home I had bottled up my stress because I had been in a different place for the first time, and there was a big crowd and as each day went by it got worse and worse because that same crowd got bigger and bigger until I stayed down in prep, where I was learning the same stuff, but the Teachers were saying that this and that was not true even though I had learned stuff from National Geographic and Discovery and History channels.mad

Now, when I went into grade 2 things started going down hill from there coz the teachers kept on saying that most of the time the things I talked about was just rubbish, but I know that you're not like that Mr V. cry

Now, when I was in grade 4 last year I stated home schooling because I could not cope in normal school even though I had an intergration aide but she was always away helping the other kids and I was not allowed to ask questions and I was put on a table all by my self in a corner which they called socialising, and they did not tell my Mum and Dad and I was punished for not getting the questions at all and not finishing the work I didn't understand.
And I was coming home all angry and tense and frustrated because I had bottled it up at school and no one was listening to me except Mum and Dad. Most of the time I smashed up the house and hit my Dad a lot because I was so angry at being teased by other kids and not heard by the teachers. My Tourette's makes me make strange noises when I'm really, really, really stressed and nervous and my noises (that are called vocal tics) were getting worse. I do other strange things but my doctor gave me medication to help me relax which worked a little bit.

So thats why I'm home schooled, plus I get to do fun things like the World Maths Day and reading challenge.mrgreen And it's much quieter and calmer and I feel happier inside.

I've competed against other people all over the world in practice matches for World Maths Day, that is tomorrow, and its great fun.
And I'm up to 60 books on my completed reading list for the Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge and that is great fun too!mrgreen

Home schooling

It's me again, and I'm gonna tell you about my home schooling and how fun it is, after this you may want to start home schooling your kids (but you be judge of that.).mrgreen

I want to start with how smart you can be, take me for example:I'm in year5 and I do year6, year7, year8, and year9 work and the best thing is that it's dead easy. Plus there's a series of work books called EXCEL books and the best thing about them is that there's a wide range of different books and they cover, ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS, SPELLING AND VOCABULARY CROSSWORD PUZZLES, COMPUTING SKILLS, MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION, STEP BY STEP ALGEBRA1 WORKBOOK, STEP BY STEP ALGEBRA2 WORKBOOK, STEP BY STEP ALGEBRA3 WORKBOOK.And theres heaps of others, oh, and Mr V, they make great school books, too, so better try them out, Mr V. surprised

There are a few things I almost forgot to tell you, like the outings, the social groups, social outings, different sports, you get to go to museums and not have to get around holding your gut in on the school holidays.wink

I love home schooling 'coz I get to do all of my 11 books in a couple of hours and then I've got the rest of the day to my self. I'm also in a normal environment, so I'm going to be relaxed all the time. biggrin
