Bomber and Roy are two bloke's that are former Vietnam Vets and are always going to Vietnam to remove land mines that are all over the place.
All of the land mines are from the war that went on there, the sad thing is people are still getting hurt by them today.
Bomber has seen a lot of people that have lost their, arms , legs, feet, hands and even had both legs lost to land mines. Bomber and Roy have met a young man that has been removing land mines since he was 10 years old, called Mr Aki Ra, and he's still removing them to this day, his wife also removes land mines too.
They also run a orphanage for children that have been badly hurt by land mines.
Bomber said one of the draw backs of a land mine is, "One thing about mines is that they can't tell the difference between friends and foes," and plus they don't know that the war's over.
Aki Ra used to use a stick to look for them, but when Bomber and Roy met him they gave him a mine detector, which they raised the money for the detector by selling raffle tickets.
So far they've been able to buy 7 mine detectors and Bomber has a metal plate on every detector with the name of Aussie Vietnam Vets who died from stepping on land mines.
Also Mr Aki Ra has a land mine museum to tell people about the dangers of land mines and what to do if they find one. This is the only place he gets his money from to run the orphanage.
I reckon Bomber, Roy, and Mr Aki Ra and his wife are doing a great job and that a lot more people should do the same as them or help them.
Because it is said that there are so many land mines in Vietnam that it well take 100 years to remove every land mine in Vietnam.
