Make Me Normal doco

Posted by Feral Beast in

Hello, I'm going to talking about a 'doco about autism.

It's a school in the UK and it's called Spa school and it's where the kids get to learn about their autism, they teach those kids to cope in the real world, they are also taught Maths, English, spelling, computer skills, and right from wrong.

Some kids were just like me and others were different, everyone's autism is different like finger prints ; some things are the same but people are individuals.

Some of it was very sad and made me a bit scared for when I grow up and I hope Mum and Dad are there with me all the time.

I wish they had a place in the UK where they could teach overweight, middle aged archaeologists how to cope with life. I could retire there.

I was scared when I heard that I was Autistic. I am scared about being different from people. I am not scared about autism being a gift. All the boys in our house are autistic.

Sometimes it is hard to cope with life when you are not autistic too!!!

It is important to have good friends and family around you.

Sounds like your family is very special Feral and your Mum and Dad will be very helpful to you.

You have great family to help and support you. I know you are going to be fine when you grow up.

But you know what? It's ok to be scared. Even grown ups still get scared sometimes.

lol Brian.

I wasn't scared when I found out that I was different, Oirishlad 'coz I've known it all my life but I was angry.

I never knew that normal people didn't have it good either, Widdleshamrock.

Thanks Bettina, I really do have a very supportive family and they're great.
