Hello.
I'm going to talk about yesterday when I marched with Pa in the RSL Anzac March.
The different RSL branches have an Anzac March the Sunday before April 25 so people can march in their local one and in the big city marches if they want.
I do it every year and we use to be able to do the city march but Pa hasn't been able to do that for 2 years now and Pa might not be able to do it this year 'coz he's a bit unwell, with pneumonia.
He was in the R.A.A.F.
He wasn't a pilot but he use to fix up aeroplanes as an electrician.
He has a few medals for his war service and stood up to a higher ranking person when he wouldn't listen to Pa. A lot of Aussies did that.
He also has a Presidential citation that came from President F.D Roosevelt but Prime Minister Menzies blocked Australian servicemen from getting any of them for many years and Pa didn't get his until 1990.
I reckon he was the best there was at his base.

I love that your Pa stood up to a higher ranking officer, Feral. I thought people were kicked out of the military for that kind of thing.
And I love your blog. How fabulous to be learning at home and to be so interested in everything. My grandson is autistic too but he doesn't speak so it's good for me to read your perspective on things.

You're right Brian, he was a wally.
Thanks Hilary, he wasn't kicked out of the army 'coz were he was the Aussies banded together so they didn't worry about kicking anyone out of the army.

Hopefully he'll start speaking soon and always remember he'll always love you.

Warden of the Cinque Ports Brian, or something like that. A Sir no less, and granted by your Betty Battenberg. Could well be a Wally though.
